AI Photo Handbook is an independent photo-guidance website based in Australia. This policy explains the information used to run the website and optional newsletter. Updated 6 September 2026.
Reading the website
Every guide is free. We do not provide reader accounts, accept photo uploads or take payments. Search and the starting-point selector run in your browser. Checklist ticks and selections are not saved after you leave or reload the page.
Hostinger hosts the website and may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages and request times in server and security logs. WordPress uses login cookies for authorised editors. We use optional Google Analytics as described below. No advertising service is connected.
Optional website analytics
If you choose Accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, pages read, approximate location and browser/device information. It helps us understand which guides are useful. Google may process this information outside Australia. We do not send newsletter email addresses, form contents or search text to Analytics. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our website tag.
Analytics does not load until you accept. You can decline and continue using every guide, or change your choice using Analytics preferences near the bottom of each page. We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Declining after accepting stops future collection and removes our Analytics cookies; it does not delete information already received by Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
Optional newsletter
We use Hostinger Reach to send occasional photo tips and new guides. The signup form asks for your email address and consent, not your name or photographs. Reach sends a confirmation email; you must confirm your address before joining the list. It records subscription and unsubscribe status so we can honour your choices.
The embedded form loads from Reach, so your browser contacts its servers when the form loads, even before you submit. Newsletter delivery can involve delivery providers, including MailChannels. Messages may measure delivery, opens and link clicks. Open measurements can be affected by email privacy settings and are not a reliable record of whether a particular person read a message.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or email us for help. Unsubscribing stops newsletter mail; it does not automatically erase every contact record. We may keep a minimal suppression record to avoid sending again to someone who has opted out.
Contacting us
Email info@aiphotohandbook.com for questions, corrections or privacy requests. Your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are processed through our Hostinger mailbox. Please do not send passwords, private photographs or sensitive personal information. We use messages to respond and manage the issue you raise.
Providers and overseas processing
Hostinger and its service providers process information to deliver hosting, email and Reach. Information may be processed outside Australia. Hostinger describes processing in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Cyprus and other jurisdictions; this is not a promise that your information stays in one country. See Hostinger’s privacy policy for its current practices.
Retention and your requests
We keep information only while needed for its purpose, such as maintaining an active subscription, answering a message, recording a correction or honouring an unsubscribe request. Provider logs and backups have their own retention arrangements; we cannot promise immediate removal from every backup.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, or raise a privacy concern, at the address above. We may need to verify that the request is yours. We will review the relevant mailbox and Reach records, act on the request where possible, and explain any information that must be retained and why. If provider assistance is needed, we will arrange it rather than treat an unsubscribe alone as a completed deletion request.
External links and changes
Source and product links take you to other organisations’ websites, where their privacy practices apply. We do not receive your photographs or purchase details simply because you follow a link. If we introduce advertising or another data-collecting service, we will review this policy and any required notices before using it. The update date above identifies the latest version.
